Queen’s Elms Student Village comprises 957 en-suite rooms across 29no. three storey blocks (each of 33no. en-suite rooms). Construction commenced in 2002 and completed 2007.

O’Hare & McGovern were appointed under a £12m contract to construct 14no. three storey student accommodation blocks comprising 462no. en-suite rooms in addition to warden and deputy warden accommodation.

O’Hare & McGovern were then appointed under a second contract valued at £14m to construct 15no. three storey student accommodation blocks comprising 495no. en-suite rooms in addition to deputy warden accommodation.

O’Hare & McGovern also built a two storey Student Services Administration Building comprising reception and security centre and a ‘social hub’ providing a cafe, shop, laundry and conference facility.

The site was previously occupied by four ten-storey tower blocks (Alanbrooke Hall, Livingstone Hall, Hamilton Hall, and Ogilvie Hall) which were demolished to enable redevelopment of the Elms site.
