The Metro building is an nine storey concrete frame office building clad in portland stone. The building comprises basement car parking (50 spaces) and 90,000ft2 of accommodation across ground and eight upper floors.

Previously on the site was a seven storey office building designed by McAlister Armstrong & Partners. The building was constructed in 1973 and was known as Bulloch House – reference to the former red-brick warehouse building built on the site c.1870 for Bulloch & Co. Ltd, shirt manufacturers.

Joint agents Lisney and Osborne King placed the Metro building on the market in May 2018 with offers invited in excess of £21m. The building was acquired by a Private Property Trust for an undisclosed figure in excess of £21m during September 2018.

Somerville commenced fit out work in January 2020 to create 5,000ft2 of office space at ground floor. The work is scheduled to complete during March 2020.
