The 0.61 acre site was placed on the market in 2015 after NAMA appointed administrators in 2013 to the previous owner – Candon Developments. The site sold to Empire Holdings in June 2015 for c£65,000.
Empire Holdings and C60 Ltd submitted a planning application (LA04/2016/1572/F) in June 2016 proposing to develop 3no. two bedroom apartments, 30no. one bedroom apartments and 2no. ground floor retail units (incorporating off-licence). The application was approved in July 2018.
Empire Holdings (UK) Ltd and C60 Ltd submitted a planning application (LA04/2017/0780/F) in April 2017 proposing to develop 2no. two bedroom apartments and 3no. one bedroom apartments on land adjacent to 48 Clandeboye Street. The application was approved in June 2018.
Cornerstone acquired the site in July 2021 and are preparing a residential development comprising 45no. apartments over ground floor commercial units.
