The application was approved in June 2006 and construction of the extension commenced in late 2006. The extension cost £0.7m and was completed during 2007. The extended ground floor comprises sandstone facade panel, aluminium shop front glazing and two glazed entrance canopies.

The two ground floor commercial units extends to 6,800ft2 in total and are let to Tesco for 15 years from August 2007 and Urban Pharmacy also for 15 years from November 2007.

The three upper floors are held under a long lease by OakleeTrinity and are used for sheltered residential housing.

The ground floor of 56 – 60 Dublin Road was placed on the market with Osborne King seeking offers in the region of £2.25m. The property sold for £2.65m during summer 2015.
