Currently a two storey red brick warehouse building built in the early 1920s. The building was converted into Government laboratories and offices in the 1960s. Since 1994 the building has been in use as a supported living hostel.
RMI Architects won a design competition in 2015 to redevelop the site for Habinteg Housing Association and Extern. However, Extern subsequently found alternative accommodation and the scheme was redesigned solely for Habinteg.
Habinteg Housing Association submitted a planning application (LA04/2020/0857/F) in May 2020 proposing to demolish the existing hostel building and develop a four storey residential building comprising 15no. apartments with associated office space.
