John Frackleton & Son Ltd traded from no.42 Church Lane from at least 1860 until their premises were destroyed during the 1941 Blitz. The site remained vacant until G&W Holdings Ltd acquired the site from John Frackleton & Son Ltd in 1959 and shortly after 1960 the current three storey building was built as ground floor retail units and upper floor office accommodation.

Cathedral Leisure Ltd, a company associated with the Beannchor Group, acquired the property in October 2016.
