Two storey commercial building designed by Like Architects for EA Lonergan Ltd and built October 2015 – March 2016 by E.S. Green & Sons. Caffe Nero opened at no.376 in May 2016 and Pizza Express opened at no.378 in September 2016.
Previously at no.376 was a two storey building dating from the early 1900s. The property was in use as a confectioners until the Ulster Bank opened a branch in the building in 1925. The adjacent property at no.378 was previously in use as a residential property until Ulster Bank purchased in October 1927 and later demolished to build a one-storey bank branch. The Ulster Bank closed its branch on 14 June 2013. Both properties were placed on the market by DTZ McCombe Pierce with offers being invited in the region of £275,000. The properties were acquired and a planning application (Z/2014/0938/F) submitted by C L Properties in July 2014 proposed to demolish the existing vacant bank building (formerly Ulster Bank) and develop a new building comprising two commercial units (coffee shop and restaurant). The application was approved in July 2015. Demolition of the existing buildings commenced during the last week of July 2015 and was completed during August 2015.
