A two-storey red brick commercial building located at no.36 Hill Street.
The building was acquired at Osborne King’s March 2015 Property Auction for £155,000. Commercial Courts Inn Ltd submitted a planning application (LA04/2015/0841/F) in August 2015 proposing to change the use of the building to Off Licence. Planning documents indicate that the proposed off licence business will be called The Cathedral Quarter Whiskey Warehouse and is intended as a “high quality specialist whiskey based off-sale”. It is proposed that the business will introduce a “new product and service for the growing numbers of national and international tourists … as well as for the indigenous market”.
Planning permission was granted for the proposed change of use in October 2015.
McCue Fitout commenced works in October 2016 and the project was completed in January 2017.
