A planning application (LA04/2015/0633/F) submitted by Darragh Properties Ltd and FM Planning in June 2015 proposes to change the use of the first and second floors from restaurant use to 2no. apartments (2 bed) whilst retaining the ground floor use as restaurant / takeaway.

 

Nos.32 – 36 University Road

Lisk Ltd owned the property since at least 2005. Lisk Ltd leased the property to Botanic Inns Ltd for 25 years in April 2005. Lisk Ltd entered into administration during autumn 2011 and Nama took control of the property.

Botanic Inns Ltd entered into administration in May 2013 and in June 2013 the property was placed on the market by BTW Shiells with offers invited around £900,000. The property is reported to have sold for £1.15m to 3639 Ltd to be leased to Tesco.

Tesco Stores Ltd submitted a planning application (Z/2013/1271/F) in October 2013 proposing a new shopfront at nos.34-36 University Road. The application was approved in June 2014.

The Elms closed in November 2013.

The property is now owned by RMA Belfast Ltd.

Nos. 34 – 36 are leased to Tesco.
