CUSP Ltd and MAP Architects submitted a planning application (Z/2005/1549/F) in July 2005 proposing to develop an office building with ground floor retail unit. The application was withdrawn in March 2007.

Culzean Properties (CUSP Ltd & Kennedy Group) and MAP Architects submitted a planning application (Z/2008/0518/F) in February 2008 proposing to develop a £25m, nine-storey, 169-bed Courtyard by Marriott hotel. The application was approved in November 2010 although development did not proceed.
