The market guide price during autumn 2012 was £5.9m. The building was still on the market during autumn 2013 although was later sold during early 2014 to Northold Properties (Donegall Assets Ltd) for £4.1m.
A McDonalds restaurant has operated across three floors (6,500 ft2) since 1991 (2-4 Donegall Place & 28-36 Castle Place). McDonalds entered into a 35 year lease in July 1991. Marcon Fitout undertook an extensive refurbishment of the restaurant in June 2016.
Next Group plc t/a Lipsy operated across 4,500ft2 from October 2009 – May 2015 (6-8 Donegall Place). Shuz 4 U Belfast Ltd t/a Sketchers Shoes acquired the former Lipsy unit ( 1,850 ft2 retail space at ground floor and 2,700 ft2 of storage at first and second floor) and opened in August 2015.
