A single storey commercial building built c1910 and occupied by a clothing retailer until being taken over by Delaney’s self-service cafe. Delaney’s closed during early 2011 and Caffe Nero opened a coffee shop within the building in September 2011.
A planning application (Z/2007/2527/F) submitted in October 2007 by Nugent Estates and Todd Architects proposed to demolish the existing single storey building and develop a ten-storey residential building (22 apartments) with ground and first floor restaurant. The application was amended to to propose a seven-storey residential building (14 apartments) with ground and first floor restaurant and approved in May 2009.
Marmont Properties Ltd and InsideOut Architects submitted a planning application (LA04/2021/2870/F) in December 2021 proposing to demolish the existing single storey building and develop a five storey building comprising 12no. apartments over ground floor cafe/restaurant unit.
