A residential scheme designed by Knox & Clayton Architects for Fold Housing Association. Comprises 23no. 2 storey terrace dwellings, 6no. 2 1/2 storey semi detached dwellings and 57no. apartments across 3no. 3 storey blocks and 1no. 3/5 storey block (86no. units total).

 

Site History

The site at 173 – 187 Ravenhill Avenue and 2a Miller Street was previously occupied by large warehouse buildings.

Anvil Point Property and Coogan & Co. Architects submitted a planning application (Z/2007/0809/F) in April 2007 proposing to develop 128no. apartments on the site. The application was withdrawn by the applicant in November 2007.

Ravenhill Limited Partnership submitted an outline planning application (Z/2008/0169/O) in January 2008 proposing to develop 250no. apartments with basement car parking. The application was withdrawn by the applicant in November 2009.

Ravenhill Limited Partnership and RPP Architects submitted a full planning application (Z/2008/1064/F) in May 2008 proposing to develop 200no.apartments with ground level parking and a landscaped courtyard at first floor level. The application was approved in March 2012.

Fold Housing Association submitted a planning application (Z/2013/0945/F) in August 2013 proposing to develop 86no. social housing units (29no. houses and 57no. apartments). The application was approved in March 2014. Construction followed and was completed autumn 2016.
