A temporary ‘pocket park’ adjacent the Albert Bridge at Ravenhill Road.

The site was previously occupied by a small one storey red brick building comprising public toilets.

Patton Group and Boyd Partnership submitted a planning application (Z/2004/0451/F) in February 2004 proposing to develop a five-storey building as the headquarters of the NI Boys’ and Girls’ Brigade, incorporating a cafe, offices, conference / exhibition space and training rooms. The application was approved in March 2014. No development commenced.

The Department for Communities submitted a planning application (LA04/2019/2217/F) in September 2019 proposing public realm improvements to include; demolition and removal of the existing public toilets, landscaping works, new paving, provision of street furniture, lighting, railings, tree / hedgerow and all associated site works (temporary use for 3 years).
