A surface level car park with planning permission for a 122 bedroom budget hotel.
A planning application (Z/2009/0622/F) submitted by J. Miskelly and MacRae Hanlon Spence in May 2009 proposed the development of a 6-storey, 122 bedroom budget hotel with bar / restaurant and conference facilities, 2no. retail units and associated car parking. The application was approved in November 2012.
In February 2015 the site was placed into receivership by Cerberus (US investment fund that purchased loans from NAMA in 2014). The site was held by Applecroft Investments (John Miskelly).
