A three storey building built in the 1950s. During the 1960s this was the Belfast Corporation Electricity Department’s central showrooms.
Hanna & Browne home furnishings traded from the building from the late 1990s until entering administration and closing in September 2013.
The Spinning Wheel curtain and fabric store (established 1975) traded from Donegall Square West until relocating to 21 Fountain Street in 2016. The store closed in November 2018.
Kirk Bryson & Co. Ltd submitted a planning application (LA04/2019/0264/F) in February 2019 proposing to retain the ground floor retail unit, convert the upper floors to 60no. apartments and alter the building’s elevations.
