Mossgiel Developments Ltd acquired the site in June 2006. Mossgiel Developments and Coogan & Co Architects submitted a planning application (Z/2007/0969/F) in April 2007 proposing to develop a residential building comprising 46no. apartments. The application was approved in October 2007.
Polly Brothers commenced construction on the site in 2008 for Helm Housing, however in December 2009 the BBC reported that the Ulster Bank had moved against the contractor and construction would be halted until the administrator reached agreement with Helm Housing. No further construction took place until Helm appointed TAL Ltd in 2012. TAL Ltd completed the building in December 2013.
