Longbridge House |

Planning applications were submitted in July 2008 (Z/2008/1572/F & Z/2008/1573/DCA) to demolish the current building constructed in 1991 and replace it with a new £10.6m seven storey building with ground floor retail and offices on the upper floors. Currently Longbridge House provides office accommodation on all floors, including ground floor, therefore the new proposal would provide the potential for a more inviting ground floor for the building along Waring Street by incorporating a retail element in the new building. In February 2009 the planning applications were withdrawn from the Planning Service by the developer after the Planning Service recommended to Belfast City Council that they refuse the development at their next committee meeting.
