The four storey development is located on Joy Street in the Linen Conservation Area between two listed buildings. A planning application for the £1.6m development was sumbitted in March 2007 and approved in September 2008. The building was designed by Kriterion Conservation Architects and Hamilton Architects with a specific emphasis on energy performance. It is designed with Georgian inspiration and is constructed in red brick and stone with a curved copper roof. Construction began in early 2010 by Mascott Construction and by October 2010 the steel shell and floor slabs were completed. Hamilton Architects acquired the top two floors of the building as their main office location.
