63 Apartments Office & Commercial Use Basement Parking In 2007 a proposal was announced by Gracemount Enterprises and Lyons Architects to demolish the Frames building and replace with a 12 storey glazed apartment tower. The proposal attracted opposition and in January 2008 the Department for the Environment imposed temporary listed building protection. This prevented any changes to the existing building for six months whilst the developments merits were examined and the future potential for the site examined. In August 2007 an alternative planning application was submitted to refurbish the listed building and provide 18 apartments, retail and commercial office space. |
