College Court Central |
|
College Court Central is a residential building providing 114 apartments with ground floor commerical units. A planning application was lodged in late 2005. The new ten storey scheme replaced existing buildings located on King Street including Sean Graham bookmakers. Sean Graham developed the project and worked alongside Gregory Architects to bring about planning approval in August 2007. Construction commenced in November 2007 and was scheduled for completion in Autumn 2008 however this slipped to Summer 2009. As a result a group of buyers sought to take legal action in September 2009 and some lodged a writ in the High Court alleging breach of contract by the developer. This occured at the same time as the property market collapsed and many apartment buyers in the city could not afford to fulfil their contract as mortgages were not as available as in 2007 when deposits were paid.
