A planning application (Z/2009/0673/F) was submitted in May 2009 to replace the existing three storey building with a 5 storey office building with ground and first floor retail use on a 0.05ha site. The application was originally for 9 storeys but amended to 5 following discussions with the planning service.

During the first half of 2009 the Citizens Advice Bureau relocated from the existing building on the development site.
