Plans involve the demolition of the current building occupied by Intersport, and located between two listed buildings, and the construction of a 7 storey building with ground floor retail and offices on the upper floors. Plans by Povall Worthington were submitted in April 2003 and approved in October 2005 (ref: Z/2003/0917).

Plans for the same site can be found on Robinson McIlwaine’s website, although it is unclear which proposal is currently being brought forward by the developer.
