Planning permission was applied for in September 2007 for the construction of a mixed use six storey scheme on a 0.06ha site that will provide ground floor retail, first floor office use & 15 apartments from the second to fifth floor. The project is designed by Blackstaff Architects (previously known as Ferguson Wheeler Associates).

A decision on the planning application for this development was deferred at the request of Cllrs C Maskey and Maginness for an office meeting in early 2009 but later approved in September 2009.
