The development site is framed by Bridge End, Station Street and the railway line. It was once occupied by a shell filling station but has been unoccupied for many years now. The 0.445 acre site is cleared and ready for development. During 2007 local company Brown McConnell Clark McKee advertised the site at £6.5m. During 2008 property developers Edenoak purchased the site for an unknown figure. Planning has since been granted for 58 apartments within three 8 storey blocks developed around a central piazza with basement parking. As of September 2010 the development is once again on the market with offers invited in the region of £1.5m.
